I wanted to share these two images with anyone that visits this week to give you all a taste of what we're enjoying here in Chicago. :) The first picture is from the afternoon on the way back to the apartment from campus. Note the WSJ is uncovered and the USA Today is still plastered.

The second image is a simple shot of the sky in southern California from a few weeks ago during our visit. Perhaps some day...

That second one looks nice...
Le sigh.
Endless summer is boring and creates spoiled brats. Personally, I've spent the last month pouting over the 40- and 50-degree weather we've been having in downstate IL this "winter." I like real winter -- all this Indian summer crap is getting on my nerves. ;)
Posted by: Jacob at January 9, 2005 07:32 AMNice...why don't you just come up and visit for a while? ;)
Posted by: Jeremy at January 10, 2005 10:02 PMYou got room for the kids?
Posted by: Jacob at January 11, 2005 02:13 PMYeah, I wish. :) Actually they can all sleep on the floor... We had some extended relatives over a while back with a little girl that came in and started looking for the 'toys'. She seemed really confused about where the 'toys' were. Best we could offer was a book!
Posted by: Jeremy at January 11, 2005 02:25 PMHmm, she must not have been the destructive -- er, creative -- type. My kids would have a ball with the CD collection that you have stored at ground level next to the TV. Not to mention the plants at various spots around the windows, and various decorative items.
I'm sure we could make it work -- just don't know if we'd get invited back again!
Posted by: Jacob at January 12, 2005 04:04 PMI'm surprised you didn't use the word 'sundries' in that comment. :)
