It doesn't feel like spring quite yet, but I wanted to show off the first iris of the year. I finished my spring flower planting a week or so ago (one of many procrastination activities when trying to find reasons not to study for a test... ;) Hopefully we'll see excellent growth out of the other bulbs.

We moved into a new house a month ago, and so far I'm not seeing any signs of spring-flowering bulbs. I could use an iris that came up that fast. :-)
Yup, I got the bulbs a couple weeks ago and then planted them last week. They definitely came up earlier than expected - but they're all indoors in lots of sunlight. And I had another two or three pop up yesterday and I expect aother few today. :)
