The Pike Place Market is a few blocks away...it's a really neat mix of food, stuff, art, and not-too-touristy stuff. Also, the first Starbucks is just across the street. Here's a shot of one of the fruit/veggie areas.

I was just there this past weekend. Nice place huh! I went into that starbucks too. The floor is pretty well worn.

Posted by: Jeremy Showalter at June 14, 2005 11:20 PMPike Place Market rocks (the flying fish dudes are pretty entertaining), went there 3 separate times during a weekend trip to Seattle. How is the weather treating you?
Posted by: Le Voyageur at June 16, 2005 02:28 AMWeather here is great...June is the transition month and it's rained just a couple times - usually for a few minutes or very lightly. We had that freak tsunami warning the other day - false alarm. Then July and August are supposedly awesome. All the cold weather cities love summer internships to sway the opinions. ;)

In opportunity, anyway.
I visited Pike's Market a number of years ago, with my brother. It was a fun place.
Thanks! Especially for the qualifing statement! :)
