Comcast Internet

I must put in a small plug for Comcast cable internet access. I had it put in last week thanks to a 6-month special. I tested the download speed last week with www.broadbandreports.com and it was tested in excess of 6200 kbps or equivalent to a 775+ KB/sec transfer rate!

What is this "download" thing which you speak of?

Here in NoVa, Cox upgraded their network a while back and I normally get 600+KB/sec. I'm worried that I've been spoiled...

Download vs. upload. Generally download is much much faster than upload speeds (unless you're on a good corp or academic network).

My upload is only 200-400 kbps...so a fraction of the download.

Of course, it all went down last night, but came up this morning, so reliability may be an issue. ;)
